- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix shredded chicken or beef, cheese, salsa, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Warm tortillas in the microwave for 20-30 seconds to make them pliable.
- Spoon about 2 tablespoons of filling onto each tortilla and roll tightly.
- Secure with a toothpick if necessary to prevent unrolling.
- Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry taquitos in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with guacamole, sour cream, or salsa.
