- 1 pound ground beef

- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

- 4 hamburger buns
Instructions
- Cook Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
- Add Vegetables: Add the onion, green pepper, and garlic, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until softened.
- Make Sauce: Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika if using. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until thick.
- Assemble: Toast the hamburger buns, spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto the bottom halves, top with the other halves, and serve warm.
