Description

These Ham, Cheese & Spinach Puffs are a delicious and easy-to-make savory snack, perfect for parties, brunch, or a quick appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 100g cooked ham, chopped
  • 100g shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Cut the pastry into 6 equal squares.
  4. In a bowl, mix the chopped ham, shredded cheese, and spinach. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each pastry square.
  6. Fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle and press the edges to seal.
  7. Mix the beaten egg with milk to make an egg wash and brush over the puffs.
  8. Place the puffs on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and puffed.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute spinach with kale or other leafy greens.
  • Use any cheese of your preference, like Swiss or gouda.
  • Serve with a dipping sauce like honey mustard or ranch.
