- 3 ripe avocados
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 small tomato, seeded and diced

- 1 small jalapeño, seeded and minced (optional)
Instructions
- Cut avocados in half, remove pits, and scoop flesh into a medium bowl.
- Add lime juice, salt, and garlic powder. Mash with a fork to desired consistency (chunky or smooth).
- Stir in chopped onion, tomato, cilantro, and jalapeño if using.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt or lime juice if needed.
- Serve immediately, or cover tightly with plastic wrap (pressed directly onto the surface) and refrigerate for up to 1 day.
Notes
- Use ripe avocados that yield slightly to pressure when gently squeezed.
- For extra flavor, add a dash of cumin or a splash of hot sauce.
- To keep guacamole green, store with a layer of lime juice on top and cover tightly.
