Grilled Chicken Souvlaki is a classic Greek dish made with marinated chicken skewers, grilled to perfection and typically served with pita, tzatziki, and fresh vegetables.

- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Wooden or metal skewers
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, vinegar, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Add chicken pieces to the marinade and mix to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably 2–4 hours.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread marinated chicken pieces onto skewers.
- Grill chicken skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
- Serve with tzatziki, pita bread, and a side salad for a complete meal.
- Chicken thighs can be used for juicier skewers.
