- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 burger buns
- 1/2 cucumber, grated and squeezed
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt (for tzatziki)
- Lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion rings for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, red onion, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal patties.
- Place a spoonful of feta in the center of 4 patties and top with the remaining patties, sealing edges well.
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook burgers for 5-6 minutes per side or until cooked through.
- Meanwhile, prepare tzatziki by mixing grated cucumber, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dill, olive oil, and salt in a bowl.
- Toast burger buns if desired.
- Assemble burgers with lettuce, tomato, red onion, a stuffed patty, and a generous spoonful of tzatziki.
- Serve immediately.
