- 4 slices of sourdough or artisan bread
- 4 oz goat cheese, softened
- 2 tsp honey
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 2 tbsp butter, softened
Instructions
- Spread the goat cheese evenly on two slices of bread.
- Drizzle honey over the goat cheese and sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread to make two sandwiches.
- Spread softened butter on the outside of each slice of bread.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes per side or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a few arugula leaves before grilling.
- Adjust the spice level by using more or less red pepper flakes.
- Pairs well with tomato soup or a side salad.
