Description

This Garlic Herb and Cheese Pull-Apart Bread is a savory, crowd-pleasing appetizer featuring tender biscuit pieces coated in a fragrant mix of melted butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, and fresh herbs, then baked with a blend of mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses until golden and bubbly. Perfect for dipping or enjoying on its own, it’s an easy and irresistible finger food for gatherings or game days.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 (16-ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count, or homemade dough)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (plus more for garnish)

Wet Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan or a 9×5-inch loaf pan thoroughly to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare biscuit pieces: Cut each biscuit into quarters to create bite-sized pieces for even coating and baking.
  3. Mix coating ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, chopped parsley, shredded mozzarella, and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Coat biscuit pieces: Add the biscuit quarters to the bowl with the cheese and herb mixture. Gently toss the pieces to coat each piece evenly with the buttery, cheesy mixture.
  5. Assemble in pan: Layer the coated biscuit pieces evenly into the prepared pan, spreading them out so they bake uniformly. Sprinkle any remaining cheese mixture over the top for extra cheesy goodness.
  6. Bake: Place the pan in the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown on top and cooked through in the center.
  7. Cool and serve: Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 5 to 10 minutes. Then invert the pan onto a serving plate to release the pull-apart bread. Garnish with additional fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Serve this pull-apart bread with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping to enhance the flavor.
  • For a crispier crust, continue baking uncovered for a few extra minutes.
  • Try adding cooked crumbled bacon or pepperoni for a flavorful twist.
