Ingredients
Scale
Dough and Topping
- 1 package Refrigerated Pizza Dough (can also use homemade versions)
- to taste Bagel Seasoning (make your own mix with poppy seeds, sesame seeds, and garlic powder)
- 1 tablespoon Honey (optional, adds extra rise and flavor)
Filling
- 8 whole Eggs (can swap with egg whites for a lighter option)
- 1 cup Diced Ham (try turkey or chicken for a leaner alternative)
- 1 cup Shredded Allegro Cheese (or any melting cheese like cheddar or mozzarella)
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: Thaw your refrigerated pizza dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let them rise for 20 minutes to develop a fluffy texture.
- Cook the Eggs: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the whole eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper. Scramble them gently in a pan over medium heat until fluffy but still moist. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
- Boil Water: In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add a splash of honey to enhance rise and flavor.
- Assemble Bagel Bombs: Flatten each dough ball into a circle. Spoon scrambled eggs, diced ham, and shredded cheese into the center, then carefully seal the edges by pinching the dough to encase the filling completely.
- Boil Bagel Bombs: Drop each filled bagel bomb into the boiling water and let them cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and allow excess water to drain.
- Bake: Place the boiled bagel bombs on a lined baking sheet. Sprinkle the tops generously with bagel seasoning. Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for 20 minutes or until they turn golden brown and develop a chewy crust.
- Cool and Freeze: Allow the bagel bombs to cool completely on a wire rack. Once cooled, wrap each bomb individually in plastic wrap or place them in a freezer-safe bag for convenient freezing and future enjoyment.

- Bagel seasoning can be homemade with a mix of poppy seeds, sesame seeds, garlic powder, and optional onion flakes.
- Reheat frozen bagel bombs by thawing overnight and warming in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes.
