Ingredients

  • 4 medium russet potatoes, washed and scrubbed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Aluminum foil, for wrapping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut each potato into halves or quarters depending on size, or leave whole if preferred.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Wrap each potato (or portion) in aluminum foil, sealing tightly.
  5. Place the wrapped potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 45-60 minutes, depending on the size of the potatoes, until tender when pierced with a fork.
  7. Carefully unwrap the foil and serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pat of butter or a sprinkle of cheese inside the foil before sealing.
  • You can add chopped onions or bell peppers for variety.
