Description

Fall Leaves Rice Krispie Treats are a fun, festive twist on the classic marshmallow cereal treat, colored and cut into the shape of autumn leaves—perfect for fall parties, school snacks, or Thanksgiving treats.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Food coloring (red, yellow, orange, green)
  • Non-stick cooking spray or butter (for greasing)
  • Leaf-shaped cookie cutters

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  2. Divide the melted marshmallow mixture into 3–4 bowls (depending on how many colors you want).
  3. Stir a few drops of food coloring into each bowl to make red, orange, yellow, and green marshmallow mixtures.
  4. Quickly stir 1 1/2 cups of Rice Krispies cereal into each bowl until evenly coated.
  5. Press each colored mixture into a greased baking dish or onto a greased sheet of parchment paper, layering or placing side-by-side for a multicolored effect.
  6. Let cool for about 30 minutes until firm.
  7. Use leaf-shaped cookie cutters to cut treats into festive fall shapes.
  8. Serve or store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • Spray your hands or spatula with non-stick spray to help press the mixture without sticking.
  • You can also decorate with icing or sprinkles for extra flair.
  • Let kids help with cutting shapes for a fun fall activity.
