- 1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Chill a mixing bowl and beaters in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
- Pour the cold heavy whipping cream into the chilled bowl.
- Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- Beat with a hand mixer or stand mixer on medium-high speed until soft peaks form (about 2–3 minutes).
- Use immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.
Notes
- Do not overbeat the cream or it will turn into butter.
- For extra stability, add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch or instant pudding mix.
- Can be made up to 24 hours ahead and stored in the fridge.
