Description

A refreshing and simple homemade strawberry lemonade made with fresh strawberries, lemon juice, and a touch of sweetness. Perfect for summer days or any time you need a cool, fruity drink.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 3/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-5 lemons)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • Fresh strawberry and lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the strawberries and 1/2 cup of water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the strawberry puree through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove seeds.
  3. Add the lemon juice and sugar to the pitcher. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Pour in the remaining 3 1/2 cups of cold water and stir well.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if needed.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh strawberry and lemon slices if desired.

Notes

  • You can use honey or a sugar substitute instead of granulated sugar for a healthier version.
  • Frozen strawberries can be used if fresh ones are not available.
  • For a fizzy twist, replace 1 cup of water with sparkling water.
