- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup cooked pasta (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic until soft.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined and creamy.
- If using pasta, stir it into the beef mixture.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch casserole dish.
- Top with shredded provolone and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle Italian seasoning on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute ground beef with shaved steak for a more authentic flavor.
- Try adding mushrooms for extra texture and flavor.
- This casserole can be prepped ahead and stored in the fridge before baking.
