Description

A quick and easy Philly Cheese Steak Casserole packed with all the classic flavors of the sandwich, made into a hearty, cheesy baked dish perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup cooked pasta (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic until soft.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined and creamy.
  5. If using pasta, stir it into the beef mixture.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch casserole dish.
  7. Top with shredded provolone and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle Italian seasoning on top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
