This easy lasagna recipe is a hearty and comforting dish layered with rich meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and gooey mozzarella cheese. Perfect for a family dinner or meal prep.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce to the beef and stir to combine. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Layer 3 lasagna noodles, followed by 1/3 of the ricotta mixture, 1/3 of the meat sauce, and 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers two more times.
- Top with Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use oven-ready noodles to save time.
- You can substitute ground turkey or plant-based meat for a lighter version.
- Add spinach or mushrooms for extra vegetables.
