Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 12 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until combined.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until smooth.
  4. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
  5. Fold in chopped Oreo cookies, reserving a few for topping.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Top with remaining Oreo pieces, gently pressing them into the batter.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Let cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake and let them set while cooling.
  • Use double-stuffed Oreos for a richer texture.
