- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup raspberries
- 2 cups whipped cream or whipped topping
- 1 tablespoon sugar (optional, for macerating berries)

Instructions
- Wash and dry the berries thoroughly.
- If desired, sprinkle sugar over the sliced strawberries and raspberries, and let them sit for 10 minutes to release their juices.
- In a medium bowl, mix the whipped cream with vanilla extract if using.
- In serving glasses or a trifle dish, layer the berries and whipped cream starting with strawberries, then whipped cream, then blueberries, and repeat as needed.
- Top with a dollop of whipped cream and a few whole berries for garnish.
- Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
