Description

  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies (e.g., Rotel), undrained
  • 1 (16 oz) block of processed cheese (e.g., Velveeta), cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional toppings: chopped cilantro, diced jalapeƱos, sour cream
  • Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in taco seasoning and cook for another minute.
  3. Add the can of diced tomatoes with green chilies and stir to combine.
  4. Reduce heat to low and add the cubed processed cheese and milk.
  5. Stir frequently until the cheese is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  6. Add garlic powder and black pepper, stirring to incorporate.
