Description

This Easy Beef Pizza Pie is a quick and delicious weeknight dinner combining the flavors of pizza with the heartiness of a beef pie. It’s a family favorite that’s simple to prepare and full of cheesy, meaty goodness.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional toppings: sliced olives, mushrooms, bell peppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Unroll crescent roll dough and press into a 9-inch pie pan to form the crust, pressing up the sides slightly.
  6. Spoon the beef mixture evenly over the crust.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top. Add optional toppings if desired.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
