Description

These Easy Bang Bang Chicken Sliders are packed with crispy chicken, tangy slaw, and a creamy, spicy bang bang sauce — perfect for parties or quick dinners.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into slider-size pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce or coleslaw mix
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and honey to make the bang bang sauce. Set aside.
  2. Marinate the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Dredge the marinated chicken in the flour mixture, pressing to coat well.
  6. Fry the chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Toast the slider buns lightly if desired.
  8. Assemble the sliders: spread bang bang sauce on the bottom bun, add a piece of fried chicken, top with shredded lettuce or slaw, and drizzle with more sauce. Add green onions if using, then the top bun.
  9. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

  • Use pre-cooked chicken tenders for a quicker version.
  • Adjust the spiciness by changing the amount of Sriracha in the sauce.
  • Can be made ahead and assembled before serving for parties.
