Description

Easter Rice Krispie Treats are colorful, festive, and easy no-bake desserts made with marshmallows, crispy rice cereal, and fun Easter-themed decorations like candy eggs or pastel sprinkles.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 (10 oz) bag mini marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/2 cup pastel-colored candy-coated chocolate eggs
  • 1/4 cup pastel sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter.
  3. Add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract if using.
  5. Quickly fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
  6. Gently mix in half of the candy eggs and sprinkles.
  7. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press down evenly using a buttered spatula or wax paper.
  8. Top with the remaining candy eggs and sprinkles, pressing them slightly into the surface.
  9. Let cool for at least 1 hour before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh marshmallows for best results — older marshmallows can affect texture.
  • Add food coloring to melted marshmallows for extra festive flair.
  • Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
