- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together all the dry rub ingredients until well combined.
- Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
- Generously coat both sides of the ribs with the dry rub, pressing it into the meat.
- Wrap the ribs in aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours.
- Optional: Unwrap the ribs, brush with BBQ sauce, and broil for 5-10 minutes for a caramelized finish.
Notes
- Adjust cayenne pepper to control spiciness.
- Store extra dry rub in an airtight container for future use.
- Great for pork or beef ribs.
