Description
Classic deviled eggs made with hard-boiled eggs, creamy mayonnaise, mustard, and a hint of paprika for a simple and tasty appetizer.
Ingredients

- 6 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika (plus more for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 10-12 minutes.
- Drain the hot water and transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water. Let cool for 5 minutes.
- Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
- Remove yolks and place them in a mixing bowl. Set the whites aside.
- Mash the yolks with a fork, then add mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix until smooth.
- Pipe or spoon the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
- Sprinkle with additional paprika for garnish.
- Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Notes
- You can substitute Dijon mustard for a tangier flavor.
- Use a piping bag for a cleaner presentation.
- Best served cold and fresh.
