Ingredients
Scale
Eggs
- 6 pieces Hard-boiled Eggs (Store eggs upside down overnight to center the yolks.)
Filling
- 1/4 cup Mayonnaise (Can use flavored mayo or mix in feta cheese.)
- 1 tablespoon Yellow Mustard (Dijon mustard can be used for a gourmet twist.)
- 2 tablespoons Sweet Pickle Relish (Dill relish can be swapped for less sweetness.)
- 1 dash Hot Sauce (Adjust according to your spice preference.)
- 1/4 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
Garnish
- 1 teaspoon Paprika (Use as a colorful garnish.)
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Dill (Chives can be used as an alternative garnish.)
Serving
- 1 piece Serving Platter (Choose a beautiful platter to showcase.)
- 1 piece Airtight Container (Store leftovers for up to 2 days.)
Instructions
- Prepare the Eggs: Place your hard-boiled eggs in a saucepan, covering them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil, then cover and let the eggs cook for 30 seconds before removing from heat. Allow the eggs to sit in the hot water for 12 minutes to cook through.
- Cool and Peel: Immediately cool the eggs under cold running water to halt the cooking process. Once cool enough to handle, gently peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise, carefully removing the yolks without breaking the whites.
- Mash the Yolks: In a mixing bowl, mash the yolks until crumbly. Add mayonnaise, yellow mustard, sweet pickle relish, hot sauce, kosher salt, and black pepper. Stir the ingredients thoroughly until you achieve a smooth and creamy filling.
- Fill the Egg Whites: Using a spoon or a pastry bag, fill each egg white half generously with the yolk mixture, making sure the filling is evenly distributed among all halves.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle the filled eggs with paprika for a vibrant splash of color and decorate with fresh dill to add a subtle herbal flavor. Serve the deviled eggs immediately for the best taste and presentation.
Notes
- Store leftover deviled eggs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- For a gourmet twist, substitute yellow mustard with Dijon mustard.
- You can swap sweet pickle relish for dill relish if you prefer less sweetness.
- Adjust hot sauce quantity to suit your preferred spice level.
- Chives can be used instead of fresh dill for garnish.
