Ingredients
Scale
Steak Bites
- 2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
Sauce & Seasonings
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Garnish
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Sear the Steak Bites (Optional): In a hot skillet, quickly sear the steak bites on all sides to lock in flavor and develop a nice crust, enhancing the taste and texture.
- Transfer to Crockpot: Place the seared (or raw) steak bites into the crockpot, ready for slow cooking.
- Add Sauce and Seasonings: Pour in melted butter, minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, onion powder, and paprika. Stir gently to coat the steak evenly with all the flavors.
- Slow Cook the Steak: Cover the crockpot and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or on HIGH for 3 hours until the steak bites are tender and infused with the sauce.
- Thicken the Sauce (Optional): If a thicker sauce is preferred, mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 1 tablespoon cold water and add to the crockpot. Cook on HIGH for an additional 15 minutes to thicken the sauce.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top and serve the steak bites warm over your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables.
Notes
- Searing the steak bites before slow cooking is optional but recommended for extra flavor and a better crust.
- Adjust the cooking time according to your crockpot’s heat settings and the size of steak pieces.
- Use fresh garlic for the best flavor, but garlic powder can be substituted in a pinch.
- Cornstarch is optional for thickening the sauce; you can skip this step if you prefer a thinner gravy.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or other herbs for a pop of color and freshness.
