- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, heat the milk and heavy cream over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
- Add the cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk until fully dissolved and smooth.
- Add the dark chocolate and continue whisking until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour into mugs and serve immediately. Optionally, top with whipped cream or shaved dark chocolate.
