Description

These crispy chicken tenders are golden brown, crunchy on the outside, and juicy on the inside, making them a perfect meal or snack for all ages.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the buttermilk with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Add chicken tenders and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Set up a dredging station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Remove each chicken tender from the marinade, coat in flour, dip in egg, then coat in panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry chicken tenders in batches for 4–5 minutes per side or until golden brown and fully cooked.
  6. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • You can substitute panko with crushed cornflakes for extra crunch.
  • Marinating longer improves flavor and tenderness.
  • Ensure oil temperature is consistent for even cooking.
