Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 large eggs
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Place chicken pieces in a bowl with buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine flour, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. Dip each chicken piece first in the egg, then dredge in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to coat evenly.
  5. Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry chicken nuggets in batches for 4–5 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove nuggets and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
