Ingredients

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage and cook until browned, breaking it into pieces.
  3. Add the diced onion and garlic. Sauté until onion is translucent.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
