- 12 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups cooked ham, diced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Add the diced ham and cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Pour in the heavy cream and milk. Stir to combine and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes more until everything is heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
Notes
- Use any type of pasta you prefer, such as penne, fusilli, or fettuccine.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or crushed red pepper flakes.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
