Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 oz egg noodles
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and let it melt. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Return chicken to the skillet and coat with the creamy sauce. Simmer for 2-3 minutes more.
- Serve the creamy garlic butter chicken over a bed of egg noodles. Garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
- You can substitute chicken thighs for a juicier texture.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
