A rich and creamy chicken garlic parmesan pasta that’s packed with flavor, perfect for a comforting dinner. Tender chicken, al dente pasta, and a velvety garlic parmesan sauce come together in one satisfying dish.

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 12 ounces fettuccine or pasta of choice
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water (if needed)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then add it to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet, followed by the cooked pasta. Toss to coat in the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and melting quality.
- Adjust the thickness of the sauce with reserved pasta water to suit your preference.
- You can substitute half-and-half for a lighter version of the sauce.
- Add spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.
