- 4 large bell peppers, tops cut off and seeds removed
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup cooked white rice
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in cooked rice, half of the tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Stuff the mixture evenly into the bell peppers and place them in a baking dish.
- Pour the remaining tomato sauce over the stuffed peppers.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top, and bake uncovered for another 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.

- Use different colored bell peppers for a visually appealing dish.
- Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
