- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 4 cups cooked green beans (or 2 cans, drained)
- 1 1/3 cups French fried onions, divided
- 1/2 tsp soy sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce (if using), and black pepper.
- Add the cooked green beans and 2/3 cup of the French fried onions to the mixture. Stir well to combine.
- Transfer the mixture to a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until hot and bubbling.
- Stir the casserole and sprinkle the remaining 2/3 cup of fried onions on top.
- Bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the onions are golden brown.
- Serve hot as a side dish.
Notes
- You can use fresh or frozen green beans instead of canned for better texture.
- Add sautéed mushrooms or garlic for extra flavor.
- This dish can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking.
