A warm, comforting dessert combining the flavors of cinnamon rolls with a crisp apple topping, perfect for fall.

- 4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 package cinnamon rolls (with icing)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup quick oats
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and spread the sliced apples evenly in the dish.
- In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Sprinkle this mixture over the apples.
- Open the cinnamon roll package and cut each roll into quarters. Scatter the pieces evenly over the apples.
- In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, oats, flour, and nuts (if using). Sprinkle the oat mixture over the cinnamon roll pieces.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the apples are tender and the cinnamon rolls are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle the included icing from the cinnamon rolls over the top of the dessert.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
Notes
- You can substitute the oats with granola for added crunch.
- Feel free to use any type of apples, but tart apples like Granny Smith work well.
- This dessert can be served with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
