Description

A fresh and zesty slaw made with shredded cabbage, cilantro, and a tangy lime dressing—perfect as a side dish or taco topping.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded red cabbage
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1 teaspoon honey or agave syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the green cabbage, red cabbage, cilantro, and green onions.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lime juice, lime zest, honey, and cumin until smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to let the flavors meld before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, use vegan mayo and maple syrup instead of honey.
  • This slaw is great on tacos, burgers, or as a refreshing side.
  • Add sliced jalapeños for a spicy kick.
