Description

This delicious Christmas Fudge recipe offers a rich and creamy chocolate treat that’s perfect for holiday gifting and festive celebrations. Made without baking, it combines semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter for a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth fudge, with optional mix-ins like nuts or peppermint for a seasonal twist.

Ingredients

Scale

Fudge Base

  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Optional Mix-ins

  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • Crushed peppermint
  • Holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides to make removing the fudge easier once it’s set.
  2. Melt Ingredients: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Stir continuously until the mixture is completely melted and smooth, taking care not to let it scorch.
  3. Add Flavorings: Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt. If using, fold in any optional mix-ins like chopped nuts or crushed peppermint to enhance the flavors and textures.
  4. Set the Fudge: Pour the smooth fudge mixture into the prepared pan and use a spatula to smooth the top evenly. Optionally, sprinkle holiday sprinkles on top to add a festive touch.
  5. Chill: Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours or until the fudge is firm enough to cut.
  6. Serve: Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into small squares and serve. Store leftover fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Store fudge in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
  • Wrap individual pieces in parchment or wax paper for gifting during the holidays.
  • Feel free to customize the fudge with your favorite mix-ins such as dried fruit, different nuts, or flavored extracts.
  • Ensure continuous stirring when melting to prevent burning the chocolate.
