Description

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter.
  3. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add the baking soda and salt, then mix in the flour until just combined.
  5. Divide the batter into two bowls. In one bowl, mix the cocoa powder and milk to create the chocolate batter.
  6. Spoon dollops of each batter alternately into the loaf pan. Swirl gently with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • Use very ripe bananas for best flavor and sweetness.
  • Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread tender.
