Description

These Chocolate Chip M&M’s Cookies are soft, chewy, and packed with colorful candy-coated chocolates and melty chocolate chips. They’re perfect for parties, holidays, or just when you need a fun treat. Easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

 

  • 1 cup M&M’s (plain or your favorite variety), plus extra for topping


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.

  • Fold in the chocolate chips and M&M’s.

  • Scoop dough (about 1½ tablespoons each) onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.

  • Press a few extra M&M’s on top of each dough ball for a colorful finish.

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden and centers look just set.

 

  • Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.


Notes

  • You can use holiday-themed M&M’s for festive occasions.

  • For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.

 

  • Cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
