- 2 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini)
- 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, and marinara sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the top, followed by Parmesan cheese.
- In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with olive oil, then sprinkle over the cheese layer.
- Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving if desired.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken for quicker prep.
- Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Can be assembled ahead and refrigerated before baking.
