Description

A comforting and creamy casserole version of the classic Chicken Cordon Bleu, combining chicken, ham, Swiss cheese, and a buttery breadcrumb topping.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups diced ham
  • 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Fold in shredded chicken, diced ham, and 1 1/2 cups of Swiss cheese.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup of Swiss cheese over the top.
  6. In a small bowl, mix Panko breadcrumbs with melted butter.
  7. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the casserole.
  8. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, or until hot and bubbly with a golden topping.
  9. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

  • You can use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Substitute Swiss cheese with mozzarella or provolone if preferred.
  • To make ahead, assemble the casserole and refrigerate until ready to bake.
