Description

A quick and healthy Chicken and Broccoli Stir Fry featuring tender chicken slices and crisp broccoli tossed in a savory stir-fry sauce. Perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, chicken broth, brown sugar, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken slices and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Add remaining 1 tablespoon oil to the skillet. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add broccoli and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until just tender.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet. Pour in the sauce and stir well to coat everything evenly.
  6. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.
  7. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in a tablespoon of soy sauce and cornstarch for 15 minutes before cooking.
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce to reduce salt content.
  • Add bell peppers or snap peas for more veggie variety.
