Description

A deliciously cheesy and savory pepperoni stromboli wrapped in golden brown dough, perfect for sharing as an appetizer or enjoying as a main dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Flour, for dusting
  • Marinara sauce, for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly flour a surface and roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about 12×8 inches.
  3. Sprinkle mozzarella, provolone, and Parmesan evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides.
  4. Layer the pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese.
  5. Sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning over the filling.
  6. Starting from one long side, roll up the dough tightly into a log, pinching the edges to seal.
  7. Place the stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush the top with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  9. Make a few slits on top to allow steam to escape.
  10. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  11. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving with marinara sauce if desired.

  • Feel free to add other fillings like sautéed mushrooms or bell peppers.
