- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 12 small corn tortillas
- Fresh salsa (optional)
- Chopped onions (optional)
- Chopped cilantro (optional)

Instructions
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, lime juice, orange juice, soy sauce, cilantro, cumin, chili powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
- Place the steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the meat. Seal and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the grill or a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
- Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer for desired doneness.
- Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
- Warm the corn tortillas on the grill or in a skillet.
- Assemble the tacos by placing a few slices of carne asada on each tortilla. Top with fresh salsa, chopped onions, and cilantro if desired.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side for added flavor.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a spicy salsa or guacamole as toppings.
- If you prefer, you can use a different cut of beef, like ribeye, but flank or skirt steak is traditional for carne asada tacos.
- If you don’t have a grill, you can cook the steak in a skillet on the stovetop.
