Description

Rich and fudgy brownies loaded with chocolate chips and swirled with gooey caramel for the ultimate indulgent treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spread half of the batter into the prepared baking dish. Drizzle half the caramel sauce over the batter.
  7. Spread the remaining batter on top, followed by the remaining caramel sauce. Use a knife to gently swirl the caramel into the batter.
  8. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Let cool completely before slicing. Drizzle with extra caramel if desired.
