Description

These festive Candy Corn Rice Krispie Treats combine the gooey, marshmallowy goodness of classic Rice Krispie treats with colorful candy corn for a perfect Halloween-themed dessert.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 (10 oz) bag mini marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional, for drizzle)
  • Food coloring (orange and yellow, optional for layering effect)

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  3. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. If making layered treats, divide the melted marshmallow mixture into three bowls. Tint one portion orange, one yellow, and leave one plain.
  6. Mix 2 cups of Rice Krispies cereal into each portion until evenly coated.
  7. Press the yellow layer into the prepared pan, followed by the orange, then the plain layer, pressing each layer down firmly.
  8. Sprinkle candy corn on top and gently press them into the surface.
  9. Optional: melt white chocolate chips and drizzle over the top.
  10. Let the treats cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Use fresh marshmallows for best texture and flavor.
  • Lightly grease your hands or use wax paper to press down the layers without sticking.
  • You can skip the food coloring for a simple version.
