1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

-
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
-
3/4 cup M&M’s or other candy-coated chocolates
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, oats, and brown sugar.
-
Add the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and peanut butter. Stir until well combined.
-
Fold in the chocolate chips and M&M’s.
-
Scoop dough by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheet.
-
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are set.
-
Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
-
You can swap out the M&M’s for other mix-ins like chopped nuts, mini marshmallows, or white chocolate chips.

For softer cookies, slightly underbake them and let them finish cooking on the tray.
-
Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
