Description
Burrata Bruschetta is a fresh and flavorful Italian appetizer featuring toasted baguette slices topped with marinated cherry tomatoes, creamy burrata cheese, and fragrant basil. The combination of juicy tomatoes with rich burrata and a hint of balsamic makes it a perfect starter or light snack.
Ingredients
Scale
Bread
- 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus extra for drizzling
Tomato Topping
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze or balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Cheese & Garnish
- 1 ball burrata cheese (about 8 oz)
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat and Toast Bread: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides lightly with olive oil. Toast the bread in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through, until they are golden brown and crisp.
- Marinate Tomatoes: While the bread toasts, combine the halved cherry tomatoes, minced garlic, balsamic glaze, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Stir to mix well and let it sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Assemble Bruschetta: Once the baguette slices are toasted, spoon a generous amount of the marinated tomato mixture on top of each slice.
- Add Burrata Cheese: Tear the burrata cheese into pieces and gently place them over the tomato topping on each baguette slice.
- Garnish and Serve: Drizzle additional olive oil over the assembled bruschetta, garnish with fresh basil leaves, and serve immediately for best freshness and flavor.
Notes
- For an extra burst of garlic flavor, rub each toasted bread slice with a cut garlic clove before adding the toppings.
- This dish is best enjoyed fresh, but you can prepare the tomato mixture and toast the bread ahead of time. Assemble just before serving to keep the bruschetta crisp and vibrant.
