Description

Brie, Apple, and Cranberry Grilled Cheese is a gourmet twist on the classic sandwich, combining creamy brie, tart apples, and sweet cranberry sauce for a melty, savory-sweet delight perfect for fall.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 slices sourdough or artisan bread
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • 4 oz brie cheese, sliced
  • 1 small apple, thinly sliced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 2 tbsp cranberry sauce

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  2. On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer brie cheese, apple slices, and a spoonful of cranberry sauce.
  3. Top with remaining bread slices, buttered side out, to form sandwiches.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the sandwiches for 3–4 minutes per side, until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  5. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use leftover cranberry sauce from holiday meals for extra flavor.
  • Add a few arugula leaves for a peppery contrast.
  • Brie rinds are edible, but you can remove them if preferred.
