- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup diced tomatoes (seeds removed)
- 1/2 cup chopped romaine lettuce
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 French baguette, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and sprinkle with garlic powder.
- Bake the crostini for 8–10 minutes or until golden and crisp. Set aside to cool.
- In a medium bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, and cheddar cheese until well combined.
- Fold in crumbled bacon and diced tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Spread the dip mixture into a serving dish and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Before serving, top with chopped romaine lettuce and green onions (if using).
- Serve chilled with crostini on the side for dipping.
Notes
- Use cherry tomatoes for a sweeter flavor and less moisture.
- Make the dip a day ahead to enhance the flavor.
- Keep lettuce and crostini separate until serving to avoid sogginess.
